For smaller projects, MSLD offers a simple consultation service for 1-2 rooms. This is perfect for a small extension or a new kitchen. This can all be done remotely, saving you time and money.

Online zoom consultation with one of our lighting designers, allowing you to discuss your dreams for the space, and allow us to tailor the lighting design to you.
A hand drawn plan, allowing your builder/electrician to install the lighting correctly by showing light positions, circuits and switches.
A list of products and options for the different light fittings and switches for your project and budget.

What you need for the consultation service

Having an idea of the style of space you will have, such as modern, classic, etc is very helpful, as well as a rough idea of the colour scheme, so we can ensure the lighting fits with it.
Architectural plans of the space, which are to scale (you can upload these when booking), so that we can draw out the lighting scheme
Any photos of the space would be helpful, but not essential

A little note: what we don’t do

We will not just draw a grid of recessed spotlights. Your builder/electrician is capable of working that out. We are not interested in generic lighting schemes, but actually creating a space you will love and cherish.
We will not use generic light fittings from a wholesaler/DIY store. There are numerous reasons that these will give you poor light within the space. We will specify a range of light fittings, across a wide range of budgets, that will give you what you need: good lighting.
